Who We Are

A mission-driven organization committed to saving mothers and babies—one community at a time.

LiftLife Global Health exists to address one of the most urgent and preventable injustices in global health: maternal and newborn deaths caused by lack of access to skilled care. We believe that where a woman lives should never determine whether she survives childbirth.

Message from our founder, Mr. Gregory Mitchell

Our Mission

LiftLife Global Health works to reduce maternal and infant mortality in rural, underserved communities where distance and limited resources deny women access to skilled obstetric care. We partner with local medical providers and health authorities to fund and build the full infrastructure that safe delivery requires: permanent WHO-compliant labor and delivery centers, maternity waiting homes, village midwife training programs, emergency communication networks, and dedicated ambulance transport. We provide the systems and resources; our local partners provide the care. Beginning in rural Tanzania, we are developing a model designed to be replicated wherever these gaps exist.

Our Vision

We envision a world in which no woman loses her life in childbirth because skilled care was too far away, too poorly equipped, or impossible to reach in time. LiftLife Global Health is working toward that outcome by building permanent, locally sustainable maternal health infrastructure — and the community systems that connect women to it — in the rural regions where the need is greatest. When the full chain of care is in place, from village midwife to delivery center, mothers survive and newborns thrive. We are committed to building that chain, one community at a time.
